1990sDon Bedell, BSC '90, recently was promoted to director of sales for Forever Broadcasting's four radio stations in Altoona, Pa., and received the company's 2000 Guiding Light award for excellence in leadership. He and his wife, Lori Gorenc Bedell, BSC '90, MA '94, who teaches communications at Penn State University's Altoona campus, reside in Hollidaysburg, Pa., with their two daughters, Emily, 7, and Audrey, 4. Steven Foreman, BSED '90, MED '94, is principal and director of accountability for the Zanesville (Ohio) City School District. He and his wife, Kimberly, are the parents of Madeline Miles, born Dec. 7. Nicholas York, AB '90, became a partner of Arter & Hadden LLP's Cleveland office in January. He is a member of the Trial and Growth Groups and practices in the areas of business and commercial law and governmental and administrative law. Michael Anderson, BSC '91, started his own video production company, Anderson Productions, specializing in editing, live event image-magnification and providing high-quality production assistance to other video production companies. He and his wife, Natalie Bernow Anderson, BSED '91, live in Cincinnati. Denise Young Farrell, BSC '91, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was hired as director of public affairs at Lifetime Television in January. Kristine Schmitt, BSJ '91, is the senior investigator of the Winder Police Department in Winder, Ga., specializing in crimes against children, family violence offenses and sex crimes. Bill Zazynski, MSP '91, was named branch director for the YMCA of Roanoke Valley's central branch. He and his wife, Beth, have relocated to Roanoke, Va., with their two children, Will, 3, and Libby, 2. Jeremy Anderson, BA '92, of Zanesville, Ohio, completed a five-month, 2,700-mile hike from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Coast Trail through California, Oregon and Washington. William Todd Gienger, BSEE '92, obtained his professional engineer's license and became a principal and stockholder with the firm Frederick, Frederick & Heller Engineers Inc. in November. He lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with his wife, Tina, and their 5-year-old twin boys, Matthew and Tyler. Darren Helriggle, AAS '92, and his wife, Jennifer L. Skinner Helriggle, AAS '91, are celebrating the Sept. 18 birth of their second daughter, Cassie. They also have an older daughter, Riley. Jason Hillyer, BSC '92, recently became director of education at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Calif. He previously worked at COSI Columbus, The Ohio Historical Society and COSI Toledo. He also is a professional stand-up comedian. Steven Krebs, BSIS '92, and Patricia Carter, BSJ '94, were married in October. He is employed by Dell Computer Corp. as a marketing operations senior analyst. She works as a program coordinator for the University of Texas McCombs School of Business in executive education. They live in Austin, Texas. Terrance Reimer, BFA '92, won first place in the advertising category and honorable mention in the documentary category of Camera Arts magazine's first photography contest. Reimer is a master fine art digital printer with West Coast Imaging and lives in northern California. Anthony Angelo Antonelli, BBA '93, and his wife, Cory Frazier Antonelli, BSED '93, had a daughter, Natalie Elizabeth in May 2001. He is a senior financial analyst with Bank One Investment Awards. She plans to work as a pediatric nurse practitioner after finishing her master's degree in nursing at Ohio State University. Jennifer Nestor Damm, BBA '93, and Gregory Damm were married in October and live in Charlotte, N.C. She is the assistant controller for a commercial real estate development and property management firm. Rob Demovsky, BSJ '93, was co-winner of the Wisconsin State Sports Writer of the Year award from the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. He has worked at the Green Bay Press-Gazette since 1997 and covers Green Bay Packers football and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's basketball team. Chad Estis, BSC '93, MSA '94, was appointed vice president of sales and business development for the Cavs/Gund Arena Co. He oversees the suites sales and service department as well as manages marketing responsibilities for the Cleveland Rockers and the Mid-American Conference men's and women's basketball championships held at Gund Arena. Kristine Fowler Geis, BS '93, moved to Philadelphia after returning from three years of service with the Peace Corps. She and her husband, Edward Geis, BS '92, are celebrating the birth of their first child, Miranda Marie. Linna Kelley Guzzi, BSH '93, and her husband Brian Guzzi, BA '93, of Hermitage, Tenn., had a son, Anthony Giuseppe, Dec. 11. Dustin Hughes, BBA '93, is a lead analyst in the market planning department of Six Continents Hotels and Resorts, The Americas. He resides in Atlanta. Vaughn Shannon, AB '93, received a doctorate in political science in 2001 from Ohio State University and is a visiting assistant professor at Miami University. He and his wife, Amanda, were married in 2001. Beverly Bowen Workman, AIS '93, BSS '97, recently launched her own business, Aligned Career Services, which prepares professional resume and career presentation packages. She formerly was assistant to the director of university publications at Ohio University. Joshua Estrin, BFA '94, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., is director of the Jewish AIDS Network of South Florida. Victor Kaufman, MA '94, PHD '98, is an assistant professor of history at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. Jennifer Peterlin, BSED '94, has recently moved to Concord, Ohio. She teaches in Bedford, Ohio at Carylwood School. Leslie Prior, BSME '94, plans to graduate from Vanderbilt University's School of Graduate Management with an MBA in May. She works for Rain Bird Sprinkler Corp. and lives in Memphis, Tenn. Eric Richter, BA '94, of Columbus, was named Franklin County (Ohio) deputy treasurer in May 2001. Cara Maruskin Allen, BSJ '95, is a senior publicist for SeaWorld Adventure Park and Discovery Cove in Orlando, Fla. David Scott Carter, MSA '95, of Estes Park, Colo., is director of development for campus technologies and university libraries at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Victoria Stone-Moledor, BSJ '95, and her husband, Kurt Moledor, had a son, Aron Stone, on July 28. She is taking a one-year leave of absence from her studies at Capital University Law School in Columbus, to raise him. Kurt Moledor develops and integrates electronic media for Amos Press in Sidney, Ohio. The family lives in Marysville, Ohio. Kecia Cornelius Walker, BFA '95, and Brenden Walker were married Feb. 2 in Las Vegas and live in Canton, Ohio. She is employed by Corporate Express. Jennifer Principe Braddock, BSED '96, married Ben Braddock on Oct. 13. The couple live in Merritt Island, Fla. Michele Gallatin, BBA '96, was promoted to manager at the professional services firm of Ernst & Young LLP. She lives in Atlanta. Carla Mijlin, BSC '96, is a graphic artist for WTFX-TV FOX Philadelphia. She is responsible for graphics and animations on the morning news program "Good Day Philadelphia" as well as all other station promotions and events. She recently won an Emmy in the local news awards for the tri-state area. Rachel Nelson, AB '96, MHA '97, of Baltimore, is a financial management specialist for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. She received the Administrator's Achievement Award as part of a workgroup assigned to improve Medicare's national system for care of patients with kidney failure. Amy Howard O'Brien, BSJ '96, married Dennis O'Brien in June 2001. They live in Louisville, Ky. Larry Thompson, BBA '96, of Chillicothe, Ohio, was named executive director of Heartland Agdeavor Association Inc., created by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Ohio State University to provide more opportunities for agricultural commodity producers. Catherine Carson, AB '97, is an associate attorney practicing intellectual property law at Lott & Friedland in Miami, Fla. Ryan Marvich, AB '97, a U.S. Secret Service special agent, is working for the Secret Service's Phoenix office after being employed at the White House. His wife, Estelle Layne Marvich, BA '97, earned a master's degree in elementary education at Ohio State University. They have a daughter, Halle Marie, born April 6, 2001, and live in Mesa, Ariz. Eileen Robertson Murgatroyd, BSN '97, received a master of science in nursing degree in December from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, W.Va. She resides in Lore City, Ohio, with her husband, Neil. Kevin Payne, BSSE '97, of Edmond, Okla., was promoted to the rank of major in the U.S. Air Force. He served in Turkey from Sept. 7 to Dec. 16 for Operations Northern Watch and Enduring Freedom and was deputy commander of combat communications. Michael Wirtz, BS '97, is the lead chemistry teacher at the Concord Academy, a private day and boarding school in Concord, Mass. He works during the summer as an organic chemist for Pfizer Inc. in Groton, Conn. Jill Eckert, BSJ '98, received a law and a business degree from DePaul University in Chicago and is a career counselor for attorneys and law students with the American Bar Association's Career Resource Center. She recently co-authored a job search workbook for attorneys titled "Direct Examination Š A Workbook for Lawyer Career Satisfaction." Robert Haag, MED '98, retired Feb. 28, 2001, as director of facilities and housing for the County of Summit Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. He resides in Doylestown, Ohio. Nicole Hollingsworth, MSPE '98, of Lawrence, Kan., is the head women's golf coach at the University of Kansas in 1999. Tanya Kasim, AA '98, is working on a bachelor of specialized studies degree through Ohio University and hopes to graduate in 2003. After earning her associate in arts degree, she worked for a tour operator in Amman, Jordan. Tim Kohanski, BSED '98, of Euclid, Ohio, is engaged to Leslie Spremulli, BSC '00. They plan to marry in November. Timothy Leary, BSRS '98, married Janine Beldy, AB '97, in November in Connecticut. He owns a kayaking company, and she is a lawyer. Amy Coder Perry, BA '98, and Jeff Perry, BS '95, were married Sept. 1 in Medina, Ohio. He is a program manager at Sky Technology Partners in Columbus; she is a proposal analyst with Nationwide Retirement Solutions in Dublin, Ohio. They live in Powell, Ohio. Anne Lee Seshadri, MA '98, and Srikanth Seshadri, MS '98, were married in New London, N.H., on Oct. 13 and had a second wedding ceremony in Bangalore, India, on Dec. 19. They reside in Arlington, Va. Carrie Smiley, BA '98, published a book, "Sassy Cool Geek," and is working as a technical communicator in Dublin, Ohio. Michelle Spryshak-Roth, BSJ '98, of Fairlawn, Ohio, recently was promoted to assistant account executive of the direct marketing group of Liggett-Stashower Inc. Her new responsibilities include database marketing, project management and client communication. Anouparb Vongnorkeo, MAIA '98, is serving in the ministry of foreign affairs of the Lao PDR department of international organizations, where he is in charge of various United Nations development projects. The first Fulbright Scholar from Laos at Ohio University, he has attended and presented papers at international conferences in Europe and Asia and has been a part-time teacher and guest lecturer on international affairs in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. She and her husband, Doug, live in Columbus. Justin Zimmaro, BSSE '98, MA '99, married Tracy Riggins Zimmaro, BA '98, in August. The two live in Centerville, Ohio, and are starting a nonprofit organization called Zimmy's Kids, which will aid Italian immigrant children with accelerated education in English. The organization will be based in Dayton, Ohio, and a second location is planned in Columbus. Christopher Colopy, MSP '99, is an assistant professor of athletics, physical education and recreation at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Heather Butterworth Maltry, BA '99, and Aaron Maltry, BA '99, were married in Jamaica in May 2001. He is employed by The Huntington National Bank, and she works for Nationwide in Columbus. They reside in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Monique Okorie, BSSE '99, is a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force and is stationed in Minot, N.D. She has been accepted into the sports medicine graduate program at the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala. Nikia Fisher Reveal, BSVC '99, looks for fellow Ohio University grads when she's recommending people to positions at the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. She, in fact, was hired by an alum, Bill Burns Jr., BSJ '78, and since then the chamber's marketing department has hired three other Ohio University alumni: Laura Casoli, BSC '97; Jack Russell, BSJ '00; and Amanda Grime, BSVC '01.
