Charles Ciuni, BBA '80, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is regional tax managing partner of the Great Lakes region of Deloitte & Touche.

Charles Milliken, BBA '80, is vice president of purchasing for Luigino's Inc., makers of Michelina's and Budget Gourmet brand foods, in Jackson, Ohio.

Michael Podolski, BSC '81, of State College, Pa., is the president of Blackbird Media Group, which produces corporate, educational and commercial videos with Web integration.

John Rae III, PHD '81, was awarded the Shirley Malloy Chair in Biology at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C., where he has taught since 1988.

Aaron Watkins, BFA '81, was selected as one of three judges for the 2002 Ms. Florida Senior America pageant, held in February. Watkins is president of Chameleon MBS, a marketing and public relations firm. He resides in Sarasota, Fla.

Curtis Yehnert, AB '81, MA '83, of Salem, Ore., was appointed chair of the humanities division at Western Oregon University, where he is a professor of English.

Michael Graham, BSC '82, is working in Sacramento, Calif., for Entercom. Graham and his wife, Kathie, have two daughters.

Kurt Kuffner, AB '82, was appointed business manager for the St. Marys (Ohio) City Schools after serving 16 years as county administrator for Auglaize County. He and his wife, Donna, are the parents of Adam, 10; Greg, 8; and Nathan, 11 months.

Laura Martinez Massie, BSJ '82, was named director of media relations for Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Amanda Rosenthal Surbey, BA '82, MA '86, is the 2002 president of the International Women's Club of Bratislava. She and her husband, Ron, and their daughters Eleanor, 3, and Isabel, 1, live in the Slovak Republic.

Daniel Thieken, BBA '82, of Mason, Ohio, is a district general manager for SimplexGrinnell in Cincinnati. His wife, Jody Froehlich Thieken, BSED '82, a former special education teacher, now is a stay-at-home mom of their eight children, ages 18 months to 15 years.

Jody Blinder, BSC '83, of Cranford, N.J., is operations manager at the Continental Airlines Arena. She has been employed by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority since 1986.

Robert Cordes, AB '83, is the administrative deputy sheriff and webmaster for the Clermont County Sheriff's Office in Batavia, Ohio. The agency Web page Cordes created recently won third place in Law & Order magazine's national Web site design contest.

Frank Waters, BSCH '83, was named vice president of Ashland Inc. and president of the Ashland Distribution Co. Waters relocated to the Dublin, Ohio, area from Brussels, Belgium, where he served as vice president and general manager of the Ashland plastics division.

Herman Counts III, AB '84, was promoted from vice president to first vice president of Bank One Corp. He is responsible for regional output management operations in the eastern United States for the bank. Counts is based in Columbus but also manages centers in Louisville, Ky., Indianapolis and Detroit.

Dave Craig, BSC '84, is the group chairman of human resources for Fazoli's restaurant chain in Lexington, Ky. He accepted the People and Performance Award in November 2001 for excellence in human resources practices and programs. The award is sponsored by Coca-Cola and Nation's Restaurant News.

Mark Hackworth, MFA '84, is an assistant professor of art at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He previously was a member of Ohio University's faculty.

Pam Virant Rickard, BSJ '84, is the director of development and communications for the YMCA of Roanoke Valley in Roanoke, Va. Her husband, Tom Rickard, BSJ '84, is the media specialist for Dudley Elementary School, where he also teaches. They have two daughters, Abigail and Rachel.

Kerry Robinson, BA '84, married Carmen LeSiege in Jacksonville, Fla., in October. He works as counsel for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. The Robinsons live in Westerville, Ohio.

Jim Lee, BSEE '85, is executive vice president and chief operations officer for EAGLE Registrations, a quality systems registrar in Dayton, Ohio. Lee, his wife, Lisa, and three sons live in Tipp City, Ohio.

Steven McPeek, BSED '85, and his wife, Zulema, of Duncanville, Texas, had a daughter, Bridget Amelia, on Nov. 23.

Clyde Benjamin Ford, BSJ '86, won first place for business writing in a 2002 competition sponsored by the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association. He is a senior writer for the Business Gazette in Gaithersburg, Md. Ford lives near Martinsburg, W.Va., with his wife, Christine, and their daughters, Victoria London, 4, and Claire-Elizabeth Virginia, 1.

Theresa Penwell Schaeffer Hanley, AAB '86, of Stoutsville, Ohio, married Ed Hanley on Sept. 12. She works for Ross County Job & Family Services in the Child Support Division.

David Sollars, BBA '86, MA '87, is associate dean of the School of Business of Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) and a distinguished teaching associate professor of economics. He recently was elected president of the Academy of Economics and Finance, an academic organization of more than 300 economics and finance professors and professionals.

Jonna Depugh Bobo, BCJ '87, of Houston, started Bobo Bouncers Moonwalk Rentals & Sales LLC three years ago. She and her husband, Thomas, have two children, Thomas Richard Jr. (T.J.), 5, and Payton Kyle, 1. She also works full time for Anadarko Petroleum Corp.

Gus Schreiber, BSC '87, of Medina, Ohio, won the 1999 R.H. Grant Award for sales for the Dayton-based Reynolds & Reynolds Co.

Jonathan Zellner, BSC '87, was named Radio Operations Manager of the Year by Billboard/Airplay Monitor and Gavin Magazine and one of 10 best operations managers in America by Radio Ink magazine. He is operations manager for KMXV and KSRC in Kansas City and the Top 40 format captain for Infinity Broadcasting in New York. He and his wife Patty Jasper-Zellner, BSC '88, live in Lenexa, Kan., with their three children.

Todd Gietzen, BSIS '88, and his wife, Sharyn, had a son, Adam Christopher, on July 8. The family lives in Greensboro, N.C. Brent S. Johnson, BSC '88, BSED '90, and his wife, Stephanie, of Columbus, had their first child, Kyle Stephen, Dec. 13.

Michael O'Toole, BSC '88, was named senior manager of conferences for the American Society for Nondestructive Testing in Columbus. Previously he was the product manager of meetings with the American Ceramic Society.

Sri Reddi, MS '88, of Sparks, Nev., was promoted to director of quality for North American operations at Arrow Electronics Inc. Reddi and his wife, Anitha, have a daughter, 4, and son, 1.

Michael Shanabruch, AB '88, of Lakewood, Ohio, joined the firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs LLP as a staff attorney for the firm's real estate and construction litigation practice groups.

Lori Ploutz-Snyder, BS '89, PHD '94, was awarded a $5,000 Michael Pollack Memorial Grant from the Life Fitness Academy. Ploutz-Snyder is an associate professor of exercise science for Syracuse (N.Y.) University's School of Education.

Randall Winston, BSC '89, of Los Angeles, is the former associate producer of the award-winning sitcom "Spin City" and now is the producer of "Scrubs."
