Seldon StrotherProfessor was 'Always There' Dr. Seldon Strother (assistant professor of curriculum and instruction and director of the Educational Media Center) taught at both Athens and the Zanesville campus ‹ where I met him. He had three sayings I remember: "You have to flunk an insanity test to be a librarian/media person. That way we don't have to worry about going insane." "The old saying is 'If you talk to yourself, you are insane,' but a media specialist must talk to themselves, and answer back, to get the job done." And his favorite one (for me only): "Don't think about it, just do it." I often use all three and have tried to live by the last. If I stop to consider all the options ‹ I'm in trouble. He was always there for us, even after graduation. B.
