Frederick Hagerman

There was Nothing He Wouldn't Do

Dr. Fritz (Frederick) Hagerman, (a physiology professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine), was the best professor I have ever had. I have my master's degree plus 30 hours in addition to many hours at workshops, in-services, conferences, etc., yet I have never had a teacher as motivated, energetic, knowledgeable, caring and influential as "Doc."

His personal experiences as a national athlete, his work experience with world-class and professional athletes, and his unlimited resources and ability to reach his students, whether they took his class as a requirement or an elective, puts Dr. Hagerman above all other professors.

He was the kind of person his students would do anything for, because he would do anything for them. They tried their hardest, because they knew he always tried his hardest.

Whether his students were majors in physical education, health, athletic training, physical therapy, premed or anatomy and physiology, he cared about all of us and would do whatever it took for us to be successful in his class.
