She was working at WOUB News/
The campus TV and Radio station/
It was there she crossed paths with one senior boy/
The subject of this little narration/
His name was Jared; he took a liking to her/
Worked up the courage to ask her out/
She said yes, and was thrilled at the thought/
But also nervous, without a doubt/
Her junior year he left, off to grad school at UMass/
It was all she could do not to cry/
But despite the miles that separated the two/
They continued their love, each day that went by/
Her senior year came, and she graduated/
And left behind her beloved OU/
Off she went to be with the one that she loved/
To New England, a place so new/
It was at OU, on one visit in April/
Where an event happened that changed her life/
She was overcome with emotion, couldn’t believe it/
When he said, "Sara, will you be my wife?"/
So what better a place to have such an event/
Than the town where it all began/
The wedding took place at First United Methodist Church/
She finally got to marry that man!
And when it was over, all said and done/
A day filled with such joy, love, and laughter/
They were thrilled that it happened at OU/
The perfect place to begin their happily ever after!
