Alfred G. Arndt, BBA ’70, has been appointed to the Business Advisory Council of the Columbus Museum of Art. He is associated with McCloy Financial Services in Columbus.

Noreen R. Johnson, BSJ ’70, director of co rporate communications for Ohio’s State Auto Financial Corp., was named assistant vice president. She has been with the corporation in Columbus since 1992.

Terrence McDonnell, BSC ’70, won his third Emmy Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Writing — Special Class” for his work as head writer and associate producer of “Jeopardy!” He recently left “Jeopardy!” to produce a new series on Comedy Central TV.

Greg Ossman, MA ’70, is head of the Cincinnati office of Shandwick Public Rela tions. He has been involved with the American Cancer Society Communications Committee, People Working Cooperatively Volunteer Board, and Cincinnati Citizens Active in Support of Education.

Craig Love, BSME ’71, was the executive engineer for developing Chrysler Corp.’s 1997 Plymouth Prowler roadster.

Michael D. Miller, BSIT ‘71, has been elected president of Ohio’s Westfield Agents Association. He has been associated with Miller Insurance in Middletown since 1972 and has been presi dent of the Miller agency since 1981.

Rev. Kenneth R. Koles, BGS ’72, presented a paper on sleep apnea to an international audience at the Total Body Modification Research Seminar in The Czech Republic.

Deborah D. Bishop, BSED ’73, has been the coordinator of Adult Literacy Programs for Lorain County for the past 14 years. She also is the chair of the Lorain County Literacy Coalition and an advisory board member for the Lorain Schools Adult Basic Literacy Education Program.

< b>Cal Burleson, BBA ’72, MED ’74, has been named general manager of the Indianapolis Indians baseball club, the Class AAA affliliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Burleson joined the club in 1975 and had served as assistant general manager for the past 11 years.

Will Focht, BS ’73, is assistant professor of political science at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. His new position comes after 16 years as an environmental engineer for the Environmental Protection Agency.

Robert Lucker man, BBA ’73, is executive director of the Cincinnati Crisis Pregnancy Center. He previously was with Bartlett & Co., an investment management firm.

Jack D. Myslenski, BSIT ’73, is president of the Fluid Connectors Group for Parker Hannifin Corp. in Cleveland. He previously was vice president of operations.

John Swofford, MED ’73, recently was named the new commissioner of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The former athletic director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he is the fourth commissioner in the conference’s 44-year history.

Greg Elfers, BSED ’74, was the 1996 Mason (Ohio) Landen Kings Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. He has been active with the March of Dimes, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Leukemia Society, for which he now serves as national fund-raising director and vice president.

Lucinda Miller Eubanks, BSC ’74, MA ’81, is the 1997 Outstanding English Language Arts Educator in the High School Teaching Catego ry for the state of Ohio. She has taught at Jackson High School for 23 years.

Richard C. Leyshon, BARCH ’74, has been invited by the Art Institute of Chicago to participate in its “Architecture and Design for Space Exploration” exhibition in 2001. He has been an architect for 23 years and has received more than 30 national and local awards.

Howard D. Newman, BBA ’75, is director of auditing at the Delaware County Bank and Trust Co. in Delaware. He has been with the bank for 11 year s.

Scott Schaefer, BSME ’75, is vice president of disk drive component business development and chief technical officer for Hutchinson Technology Inc. in Hutchinson, Minn. He joined the company in 1979.

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Albert G. Elam, BBA ’77, has relocated to Mainz-Kastel, Germany, where he is chief administrative officer for the European Region of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. He previously was chief financial officer for the Defense Courier Service at Fort Mea de, Md.

Carol A. Flath, AB ’77, received the Ace Achievement Award as an out-standing graduate of Granville High School. She is a Duke University associate professor of Slavics. She has been a conference interpreter for the U.S. State Department, participating in the U.S.-Soviet arms control negotiations.

Richard H. Sharpe, BBA ’77, is president of the Association of Ohio Life Insurance Companies. He is president, CEO and director of American Physicians Life Insurance Co. in Picker ington.

Tony Wigton, BSC ’77, recently became a certified public accountant in the state of Ohio after 12 years in the radio business. He is senior cost accountant for the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.

Douglas Drew, BS ‘78, is now a television news consultant with McHugh & Hoffman. He had worked at NBC, ABC and CBS affiliates. He lives in Phoenix.

Scott Friedman, BSC ’78, has been listed as the top-rated morning air personality in Orlando at WOMX-FM for the pa st seven years.

A.F. Jamiluddin, MA ’78, is employed with the International Labor Organization, a special agency of the United Nations. He has been a program officer in the Bangladesh office since 1981.

Thomas Thon, BSC ’78, was promoted to market manager of Jacor Communications Inc. in Columbus. He will remain general manager of WLVQ-FM, WAZU-FM and WZAZ-FM.

Karl Sutter, BSJ ’79, recently became a partner with Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur law firm in the litigation department. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee.

Joanne Utley, BSJ ’79, was one of eight media professionals recently awarded a Knight International Press Fellowship. An assistant art director at Newsday on Long Island, N.Y., she is providing design training at the Trinidad Express Newspapers in Port of Spain, Trinidad, for six months.
