Reunions a chance to see old friends

The Alumni Association is hosting several reunions this academic year. Two reunions, the Alumni Marching Band's annual gathering and the Inn Group reunion, will be conducted during Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 26 through 28. Members of the Alumni Marching Band will participate in the Homecoming parade and join current band members on the field during halftime. (See the Homecoming calendar on Page 31 for details.) The Inn Group, made up of alumni from the 1940s and early 1950s, will participate in pre-football game activities and a cocktail party. Alumnae and their families are invited to return to campus April 18 through 21 for A Celebration of Woman reunion and conference, and the Class of 1952 is invited to the Golden Reunion May 10 through 12. Watch your mailbox for more information about the reunions or contact the Alumni Association at (740) 593-4300 or alumni@ohio.edu.

Start Thinking about winter externships

You can help Ohio University students and your employer through the Externship Program. Co-sponsored by the Student Alumni Board and the Alumni Association, the program matches students with alumni for an externship experience during the winter intersession from late November through December. Opportunities range from a one-day shadow experience to a full-time position, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world work environments. For details, call (740) 593-4300, e-mail alumni@ohio.edu or visit the Web at www.ohiou.edu/~sab/. There is no registration fee.
