Community Cookouts

The Off-Campus Living Office, in collaboration with the Center for Student Legal Services, coordinates Welcome Back Community Cookouts in the Athens neighborhoods at the beginning of the year. The cookouts are for students and non-student residents to meet and interact in an effort to provide the students with a sense of community. Information is also be provided to inform students about their rights and responsibilities as a student, tenant and Athens community member.

Community Assistant Social Programs

Quarterly our CA's host social gatherings for the members of their respective neighborhood. Usually there is an organized activity such as a Cornhole Tournament or Pumpkin Carving Contest and of course there is Free Food! Interested? Contatct your CA to find out when the next social event in your neighborhood will happen.

Community Assistant Food Drive

At the conclusion of the Fall Quarter each year the Office of
Off-Campus Living organizes a food drive to benefit the Athens Community. As students prepare to leave for the holiday break we ask that they donate spare items in their pantries. The items are collected door-to-door and is a great opportunity for us to build community in the neighborhoods and give something back as well.
