Statement from Ohio University Basketball Coach Larry Hunter:
"The headline Stonerook transfers to OU,' and article in Friday's Columbus Dispatch were erroneous. Shaun Stonerook did not transfer here. Shaun did stop in and see me at the Convocation Center Monday, and he did express an interest in playing here, but I told him that because of Ohio's high academic standards he would need to improve his academic record to be considered for admission to Ohio University, and that decisions on admission at Ohio University are made by the Admissions Office."
Statement from Ohio University Director of Admissions Kip Howard:
"Ohio University has never received an application from Shaun Stonerook. He has not applied, he has not registered, and he has not been admitted."
