ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University President Robert Glidden will deliver his annual State of University address at 4 p.m. Friday (Oct. 17) in 194 Irvine Auditorium on the Athens campus' West Green.

The speech, titled A Sharper Focus," will center on work in the last year to identify the university's core values and mission and Glidden's assessment of the current environment for higher education.

The address will be broadcast live by WOUB-AM (1340) and simulcast to the university's five regional campuses via the campus' new compressed video system. The speech also will be available live and on tape at the university's Daily News" Web page at www.ohiou.edu/about/new/index.html for Internet users with Real Audio or Real Player computer components.
