ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University President Robert Glidden's annual "State of the University" address will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday (Oct. 25) in 194 Irvine Auditorium on the Athens campus' West Green.

The speech, titled "Toward a Shared Vision," will focus on university priorities, including ways to increase student involvement in research, learning and service; expanding educational opportunities through technology and distance learning; increasing economic development and service to Southeast Ohio; and efforts to further internationalize the curriculum.

The speech will be broadcast live by WOUB-AM (1340) and made available to the five regional campuses through the Higher Education Microwave Services system.
