LECTURES
The following speakers are part of the Fall Speakers Program
of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures
will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4 p.m. A reception for the
speaker will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Porter 417. Admission is
free.
David Somers, from the Scripps Research Institute, will present his lecture, "Genetic Approaches to Understanding the Clock in Arabidopsis," Nov. 15.
Benjamin Torke, from Ohio University, will present his lecture, "The Systematics of Hispaniolan Salvia," Nov. 22.
MUSIC
A faculty recital featuring soprano Marjorie Bennett Stephens
and pianist Richard Syracuse will take place Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. in the
Music Building Recital Hall. Admission is free.
The University Singers Choral Union and the Symphony Orchestra will preform Mozart's Requiem November 16 at 8 p.m. in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free.
THEATER
The School of Theater will present "Temptation," Vaclav
Havel's "modern twist on the Faust legend," Nov. 13 - 15 at 8 p.m.,
and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in the Forum
Theater. Tickets are $8 and $6 for students and seniors. Call 593-4800 for ticket information.
The School of Theater will present "The Tooth of Crime," an industrialized rock-and-roll fable, Nov. 11 - 16 at 8 p.m. in Hahne Theater. Tickets are $8 general admission and $ for students and seniors. Call 593-4800 for ticket information.

Hours for the galleries are as follows:

Kennedy Musuem of American Art: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday
through Friday.
"The Art of the Engineer," an exhibition of historical technical drawings by Russ College Engineering Students, will be on display throughout fall quarter in Alden Library's fifth floor exhibit space.
A ceramics exhibit by Geoff DeMark will be on display in Trisolini Gallery Nov. 11 - Nov. 15.
A painting exhibit by Jeff Garringer will be on display in Seigfred Gallery Nov. 11 - 15.
A sculpture exhibit by Jan Mollet will be on display in Seigfred Gallery Nov. 18 - 22.
An Undergraduate Show will be on display in Trisolini Gallery Nov. 18 - 22.
Exhibits for the Kennedy Museum of American Art that will be on display through the end of this quarter include: "A Century of Weaving: The Navajo Chief Blanket," "Selections from the Martha and Foster Harmon Collection," and "New Voices, New Visions: Holly Lant, Eleanor Miller, and Hiro Yokose."
Editor's note: Fall Quarter ends Nov. 27. The calendar will resume at the beginning of Winter Quarter in January.
