ATHENS, Ohio -- The Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University will hold a fall book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 18 on the seventh floor of Alden Library on the Athens campus.

"We have a very nice selection of fiction and literature. There is more general reading material for this sale than we have had in the last couple of years," said George Bain, executive secretary to the Friends.

Books on science, philosophy, modern languages and art also are among the volumes in the upcoming sale.

After 4 p.m. on the day of the sale, buyers may purchase books at $2 per bag.

Friends members may attend a pre-sale between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Non-members also will have the opportunity to join the Friends of the Libraries during the sale.
