ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio University Alumni Association is sponsoring the annual Konneker Klassic golf outing as part of Homecoming activities, starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Athens Country Club.

Alumni and friends will play nine holes of golf in the shotgun scramble and compete for a number of prizes offered by Athens merchants, including a new car for the first hole-in-one on the eighth hole and a week-long golf vacation for the first golfer to score a hole-in-one of the fifth hole. Other prizes will go to skill shot winners and participants throughout the tournament.

The cost for the outing, which includes a golf cart and lunch, is $60 for non-members of the Athens Country Club and $40 for members. Non-golfers may purchase lunch for $15.
