ATHENS, Ohio -- For the safety of all concerned, all registered guests and Ohio University students visiting a residence hall other than their own will be required to wear wristbands to enter residence halls. Students who live in residence halls will be provided with wristbands to wear, as well. These are intended to ease the flow of traffic in and out of residence halls and shorten time waiting in line.
Students who live in a residence hall who decline to wear a wristband will still be allowed access to the residence hall in which they live. They will be required to show their Ohio University student identification card and check in at the lobby of the residence hall, and will be required to show their Ohio University student identification card within the hall if requested by staff.
Aside from this clarification, all previously announced policies and procedures remain in effect, including:
* Resident students are permitted only one guest.
* Guests must be pre-registered by 10 p.m. Oct. 26.
* Parking on campus is limited to those who have Ohio University-issued parking permits or a student registration sticker.
