EXHIBITS

Hours for the galleries are:
Trisolini Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ohio University Art Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday.
Kennedy Museum of American Art: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The BFA Painting Exhibition will be on display Nov. 2-13 at Trisolini Gallery.

"Leaves," a display of recently donated leaves and manuscripts from as early as the 8th century will be on display through mid-November on the fifth-floor lobby at Alden Library. Library hours are 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Two exhibits, "Selections from the Print Collection" and "Painters Who Make Prints," will be on display Nov. 13 through Feb. 6, 2000, at the Kennedy Museum of Art.

An MFA Exhibition featuring Gary Setzer and Kent Swanson will be on display Nov. 9-13 and an MFA Exhibition featuring Hyeryun Lim will be on display Nov. 16-20 at the Ohio University Art Gallery.

MUSIC

Note: Unless otherwise noted, all music events are free and open to the public.

A jazz concert will be held at 8 p.m. Nov. 4 at Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium.

The University Singers and OSU Chorale will perform at 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium.

The Concert Band will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 9 at Memorial Auditorium.

The Faculty Chamber Musicians, featuring Stephen Boe, violinist, Mark Schroeder, cellist, and Sylvia Henry, pianist, will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Music Building Recital Hall.

The Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 at Memorial Auditorium.

The Varsity Show will take place at 8 p.m. Nov. 13 at Memorial Auditorium. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Fine Arts Ticket Office at 740-593-1780.

The Women's Chorale and the Singing Men of Ohio will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 14 at Memorial Auditorium.

THEATER

The School of Theater will present "Angels in America" at 8 p.m. Nov. 3-6, 10-13 and 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Baker Theater. Tickets for all shows are $6-$10 and can be reserved at the Kantner Hall Box Office at 740-593-4800.

DANCE

The School of Dance Senior Concert will be presented at 7 and 9 p.m. Nov. 4-6 in the Putnam Studio Theater, Putnam Hall. Tickets for all shows are $3 and can be reserved at the Kantner Hall Box Office at 740-593-4800.

PERFORMING ARTS

Emanuel Ax, pianist, will perform with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie at 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are $8.50-$20 and can be purchased by calling 740-593-1780.

LECTURES

The following speakers are part of the Fall Speakers Program of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4 p.m. A reception for speakers will take place in 417 Porter Hall at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Richard Allison, of Michigan State University, will present his lecture, "Risk Assessment of Viral RNA Recombination in Transgenic Plants," Nov. 5.

Michael Krings, University of Kansas, will present his lecture, "Morphological Diversity Among Late Paleozoic Seed Ferns - Scrambling and Climbing Growth Habits," Nov. 12.
