ATHENS, Ohio -- The head of Lord Hastings, golden breastplates and a looming angel of death hanging from the ceiling are among the objects in the "Magicians of the Theater" display on the fifth floor of Ohio University's Alden Library.

"I thought it would be exciting to show the magicians at work," said Shepard Black, special collections librarian, who arranged the show. "It's a tribute to the School of Theater's graduate program in Production Design and Technology."

The objects from a variety of plays were contributed by Professor of Theater Ursula Belden.

The show runs until the end of June and is open weekdays 8 a.m. to midnight, Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 8 p.m.
