ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University Provost Sharon S. Brehm will deliver a talk titled "My Life Through Books" as part of the Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University annual business meeting Tuesday (May 27) on the Athens campus.

The business meeting begins at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Friends of the Library Room, 319 Alden Library. The meeting and speech are free and open to the public.

The Friends will elect one new board member, announce the group's annual gift and award a life membership during the meeting. Brehm's talk will begin at approximately 3:45 p.m., and she will take questions after her speech.

"If you haven't met the provost, this is a good opportunity to hear her thoughts on one of the key elements of a university education -- books," said Dwight Woodward, president of the Friends of the Libraries of Ohio University. "We will also be announcing a new scholarship endowment that should be of interest to the entire university community."
