ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University graduate Heidi Tracy is the campus' new assistant dean for development in the College of Communication, where she oversees fund-raising efforts and works with faculty on program development.

Tracy, who earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1989, began her new duties April 21. She had worked as assistant dean for development in the College of Education since August 1995.

She replaces Loraine Chorey, who left campus in March to become director of annual giving at Florida State University.

Tracy, a native of Indian Lake, previously was executive assistant to the mayor of Brook Park in suburban Cleveland from 1993 to 1995 and was grant development coordinator for the Logan County Office of Education from 1990 to 1993.
