ATHENS, Ohio -- Robert L. Lytton, chair of civil engineering at Texas A&M University and a leader in the federal government's Strategic Highway Research Program, will give a lecture at 4 p.m. Tuesday (May 20) in Robe Auditorium in the Stocker Engineering and Technology Center on the Athens campus of Ohio University.
Lytton will talk about mechanics-based pavement performance prediction, a process vital to the success of pavement planning.
Lytton is director of the Center for Infrastructure Engineering at the Texas Engineering Experiment Station and a research engineer for the Texas Transportation Institute, both at Texas A&M University. He is a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and has been a principal investigator on more than 55 research projects, including many projects for the Texas Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program.
