THREE FACULTY TO RECEIVE AWARDS
FOR FOSTERING STUDENT GROWTH

ATHENS, Ohio -- Three Ohio University faculty members will be honored Friday (May 16) at 3:30 p.m. in Baker Center's 1804 Room as the 1997 recipients of the 12th annual Student Affairs Division's Faculty Contributions Award.

The award is given for outstanding contributions to student growth and development outside of traditional classroom roles and academic responsibilities.

The three recipients are Dominique Bardet, an instructor in the Department of Modern Languages, Assistant Professor of Chemistry Howard Dewald, and Assistant Professor of Interpersonal Communication Christine Beck.

Besides having their names inscribed on a brass plaque displayed at Baker Center, this year's recipients will receive pieces of art from School of Art faculty.

President Robert Glidden will speak at the reception. The awards will be presented by Dean of Students and Vice President of Student Affairs Joel Rudy.
