ATHENS, Ohio -- Two Ohio University administrative assistants have been promoted to assistant registrars in the Office of the Registrar. Jane Pidcock and Marge Mowery both have worked for the university for 32 years and have served as members of the registrar's administrative council, making decisions related to overall office affairs.
"These promotions are formal recognition of the actual levels to which they had progressed because of their high-quality work, said University Registrar Bill Jones. Now they will be significant formal members of the administrative team and I'm very happy to welcome them aboard."
Pidcock of Nelsonville, an administrative assistant in the Office of the Registrar since 1988, has been promoted to assistant registrar for operations and systems analysis. Pidcock will continue to supervise the graduation department and also will be responsible for computer programs related to the daily operations of the office and analyzing the office's work flow.
Mowery, of Logan, an administrative assistant since 1986, has been promoted to assistant registrar for registration. She will oversee all aspects of registration, scheduling and veterans affairs.
Both women are 1965 graduates of Nelsonville High School, and have attended various professional seminars at Hocking College and Ohio University.
