ATHENS, Ohio -- Construction delays on the resurfacing of the Ohio University South Green tennis courts and the beginning of a contract for athletic mall construction on the West Green mean that Ohio University will be without tennis courts for 10 to 14 days starting today (6/18/97), according to Director of Facilities Planning John Kotowski.

During this period, Kotowski said that two tennis courts on the South Green will be reserved for area youth learning to play tennis in the university's Project Challenge summer program.

The original plan was to have the South Green courts finished before the West Green courts were closed so that work could begin on the athletic mall, which will include a varsity baseball and softball facility.
