NOTE TO THE EDITOR: The enclosed list(s) give names of students from the Athens campus who were candidates for degrees at the end of spring quarter. They are given in four categories to identify achievement and permit you to include those categories as your space and interest permit. The categories are: (1) graduate degrees; (2) seniors graduating with high honors; (3) seniors graduating with honors; and (4) all other graduating seniors. All of the students on the enclosed list(s) have home addresses that are within your distribution area.

ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University has announced the names of 2,537 students from the Athens campus who were candidates for degrees at the end of spring quarter.

Of these, 453 received graduate degrees having earned at least a 3.0 grade point average.

Of the remaining 2,084 candidates, 500 graduated with high honors, having earned an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale (straight A's), and 947 graduated with honors, having earned an accumulative grade point average of between 3.0 and 3.499.
