Editors, News directors: Ohio University Vice President for Administration Gary North will join Athens Mayor Ric Abel, Athens County commissioners and Larry Payne, president of the general division of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, at the mayor's weekly news conference today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. on the third floor of Athens City Hall to discuss the economic impact of Ohio University on Southeast Ohio. North will discuss a new study by the Inter-University Council of Ohio that examines the overall impact of state universities on local economies.
