Hours for the galleries are:
Trisolini Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ohio University Art Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Kennedy Museum of American Art: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
In Lin Hall, "Teec Nos Pos", a collection of weavings, will be on display from Jan. 2-Feb. 13. Also in Lin Hall, "Young People's Art-SE Ohio II" will be on display from Jan. 2-Feb. 27. Lin Hall will also have on exhibit "A Story of Flying" from Jan. 17-Feb. 27.
In Trisolini Gallery, a ceramic exhibition by Vince Burke will be on exhibit from Jan. 27-Feb. 7.
In the Ohio University Art Gallery, "Tim Rollins/Kids of Survival" will be on exhibit from Jan. 15-Feb. 7.
MUSIC
The School of Music will present a Faculty Recital featuring Rebecca Rischin on clarinet at 8:00 p.m., Jan. 27 at the School of Music Recital Hall. They will also present a Faculty Recital featuring Gail Berenson on piano at 4:00 p.m., Feb. 8 at the School of Music Recital Hall. Admission for these events is free.
The School of Music will present Opera Theater, Gilbert and Sullivan's "Gondoliers," at 8:00 p.m., Jan. 30-31 at Grover Center. Tickets are $12 reserved seating and $5 student seating. Call 593-4244 for more information.
PERFORMING ARTS
The Performing Arts Series will present "Behind The Broken Words," a theatre event created by emmy-award winning actors Roscoe Lee Browne and Anthony Zerbe, at 8:00 p.m., Feb. 4 at Grover Center. Tickets are $11.50-$5. Call 593-1792 for ticket information.
LECTURES
The following speakers are part of the Winter Speakers Program of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4:00 p.m. A reception for speakers will take place in 417 Porter Hall at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Alan Jones, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will present his lecture, "Tracheary Element Differentiation: Coordination of Programmed Cell Death and Secondary Wall Synthesis," on Jan. 30. Jones' lecture will be co-sponsored by Molecular and Cellular Biology Program.
David Gibson, from Southern Illinois University, will present his lecture, "Elevated CO2 Effects Upon the Tall Fescue-Endophyte System," on Feb. 6.
