Hours for the galleries are as follows:
Trisolini: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ohio University Art Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
Paintings by Robert Peppers will be on display in Trisolini Gallery Feb. 2 - 28.
Paintings by Craig Lucas will be shown in the Ohio University Art Gallery Feb. 3 - March 7.
A B.F.A. ceramics exhibition will be on display in Trisolini Gallery March 3 - 14.
LECTURES
Thomas Hoving, past director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and expert on art forgery, will speak as part of the Kennedy Lecture Series Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free.
The following speakers are part of the Winter Speakers Program of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4 p.m. A reception for Friday speakers will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Porter 417. Admission is free.
Frank S. Gilliam, from Marshall University, will present his lecture, "Interactions Between Strata of Forest Communities: A Mechanistic Hypothesis for Linkage," Feb. 21.
Rex. L. Lowe, from Bowling Green State University, will present his lecture, "Zebramussel- Mediated Changes in Benthic Algal Communities in Great Lake's Littoral Zones," Feb. 28.
THEATER
The School of Theater will present "Red Noses," by Peter Barnes, Feb. 26 - March 1 at 8 p.m. in the Forum Theater. Tickets are $8 - $6. Call 593-4800 for ticket information.
DANCE
The WinterDance Concert 97 will take place during the evenings of Feb. 27 - March 1 at 8 p.m. There will also be a matinee March 1 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in the Elizabeth Baker Theater. Tickets are $7 - $6. Call 593-4800 for ticket information.
PERFORMING ARTS
The Performing Arts Series will present "Sounds of Blackness," an ensemble of 30 vocalists and 10 musicians, Feb. 21 in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. The ensemble will perform "The Journey of the Drum," a historic tribute to African-Americans. Tickets are $12 - $10. Call 593-1780 for ticket information.
