ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University has been ranked 25th in the nation -- and the best buy in Ohio -- for a college education, according to Money Magazine's annual ranking of more than 1,100 colleges.
Money Magazine says it analyzed 16 measures, including graduation rates, entrance exam results, faculty resources, instructional budget, student services budget and library resources. The magazine compared the data with tuition and fees to reach a value rating to rank the top 150. The ranking appears in its September issue.
"We are very pleased to once again see Ohio University recognized as one of the top values in the nation for educational quality," said Adrie Nab, Ohio University vice president for university relations.
California Institute of Technology was ranked first in the nation. Other Ohio schools in the top 100 are Muskingum College (54th), the University of Cincinnati (62nd), Miami University (65th), and Bluffton College (79th).
