ATHENS, Ohio -- The Institute for Local Government Administration and Rural Development and Ohio University's Office of Human Resources is sponsoring a Human Resource Seminar Sept. 12 at Ohio University's Nelson Commons.

The one-day seminar will cover current compliance issues in the public sector, including current case law on the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act and employment law.

Using case studies and formal presentations, the seminar will address challenges of human resource professionals in small and mid-sized human resource offices. Small colleges and municipal offices will benefit from the update.
