ATHENS, Ohio -- U.S. Department of Education Secretary Richard Riley has reappointed Ohio University Financial Aid and Scholarship Director Carolyn Sabatino to a second three-year term on the national Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance, beginning Oct. 1.

The 11-member committee meets several times a year and advises Riley and Congress on financial aid matters. Committee members come from institutions of higher education, secondary schools and include parents and others involved in education.

Sabatino was appointed associate director of financial aid in 1989. She was named director in 1991.
