ATHENS, Ohio -- A memorial service and tree dedication ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 3, for Ryan J. Bommer at the Sigma Chi fraternity house at 15 Park Place. Monsignor Donald J. Horak will preside at the service.

Bommer, a first-year student from Bryan, Ohio, collapsed in the hallway at his East Green residence hall and died on Nov. 10, 1997.

Family and friends will gather for a reception at the Sigma Chi house immediately following the tree dedication ceremony.
