Hours for the galleries are as follows:
Trisolini: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ohio University Art Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
Kennedy Museum of American Art: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday.
"Art on View," and "The Governor's Youth Art Exhibition" will be on display in the Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center April 21 - 27.
"Recycled Feathers," by Cherie Litt, will be on display in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium April 7 -25.
A BFA photography exhibition will be on display in Trisolini Gallery April 14 - 25.
A juried graphic design exhibit will be on display in Ohio University Art Gallery April 14 - May 2.
A BFA Ceramics Exhibition will be on display in Trisolini Gallery April 28 through May 2.
LECTURES
The following speakers are part of the Spring Speakers Program of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4 p.m. A reception for Friday speakers will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Porter 417. Admission is free.
Barbara J. Christ, from Pennsylvania State University, will present her lecture, "Late Blight: An Old Disease with a New Vengeance, April 25.
Gary K. Greer, from Ohio University, will present his lecture, "Reproductive Ecology of Ferns in Southeastern Ohio, May 2.
MUSIC
The New Music Ensemble, directed by Mark Phillips, will perform April 23 at 8 p.m. in the Music Building recital hall. Admission is free.
Ernest Bastin and Guy Remonko will direct "Jazz Fest" April 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. in Baker Center. Admission is free .
The Symphony Orchestra, directed by Kimo Furumoto, will perform at 8 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free.
The "Mom's Weekend Choral Concert" will take place May 2 at 8 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Admission is free.
"Showdown," featuring live bluegrass music, will take place May 4 at 1 p.m. in the Baker Center Front Room. Admission is free.
SPECIAL EVENTS
"Kidfest" will take place in the Convocation Center April 26. Proceeds benefit the Special Education Parent Advocacy Network.
A Barrio Fiesta, sponsored by the Filipino Club, will take place April 30 at 5 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom.
The Athens International Film Festival will take place May 2 through May 9. Screenings will occur in the Athena Cinema, the Ridges Theater, and other area theaters. The schedule is yet to be announced.
The Special Olympics will take place May 2 at 10 a.m. in Peden Stadium.
Mom's Weekend will take place May 2 - 4. Events for the weekend include: Friday: A President's Challenge Tennis Tournament, on the West Green Tennis Courts, through May 4; Mom's Weekend Fashion Show, in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 1 p.m.; Softball vs. Western Michigan, on the Softball Field at 2 p.m.; and a comedian at 9 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Saturday: Softball vs. Western Michigan, on the Softball Field at 2 p.m.; the International Student Union Food & Fashion Show, in Baker Center Ballroom, 6 - 8:30 p.m.; the Miss Bronze Pageant, 6 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
