Hours for the galleries are as follows:
Trisolini: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ohio University Art Gallery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
Kennedy Museum of American Art: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday.
A BFA Sculpture Exhibit will be on display in Trisolini Gallery May 5 - 9.
An exhibit by Joyce Scott and Jane Sauer will be on display in the Ohio University Art Gallery May 5 - 30.
LECTURES
The following speakers are part of the Spring Speakers Program of the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology. The lectures will take place in 104 Porter Hall at 4 p.m. A reception for the speakers will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Porter 417. Admission is free.
Christine J. Small, from Ohio University, will present her lecture, "Characterization of Montana Cedar-Hardwood Woodlands in the Southern Appalachian Blue Ridge Province," May 9.
Chris J. Peterson, from the University of Georgia, will present his lecture, "Catastrophic Winthrow and Forest Recovery in Northeastern North America," May 16.
THEATER
The School of Theater will present William Wycherley's The Country Wife, which is described as "an exposition of the world of sex in 17th century England." Performances will take place in the Forum Theater May 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, and 17 at 8 p.m. A matinee will take place May 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 - $6. Call 593-4800 for more information.
MUSIC
The Horn Ensemble will perform May 6 at 8 p.m. in the Music Building Recital Hall. Admission is free.
The Gala Concert will take place May 16 at 8 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free.
The Concert Band and Wind Ensemble will perform May 18 at 4 p.m. in Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Athens International Film Festival will take place May 2 through May 9. Screenings were occur in the Athena Cinema, the Ridges Theater, and other area theaters. The schedule is yet to be announced.
The Twelfth Annual Spring Literacy Festival will take place May 7 - 9 in Irvine 194.
The Take Back the Night March will take place May 15 at 8 p.m. at the College Gate.
The International Street Fair will take place May 17 on Court Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
