Ohio University's Summer Hours Begin June 12

ATHENS, Ohio (June 7, 2000) -- Summer hours for Ohio University employees will begin on Monday,
June 12. This means that university offices will be in operation from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and
employees will take a one-half-hour lunch. The summer hours are official university hours and all
offices should be sure to have staff coverage during those times. Summer hours will remain in effect
through the end of the business day Friday, September 1, 2000 (the last business day prior to the
beginning of Fall Quarter).
Human Resources requests that departments remain flexible and accommodate individuals who may
find the hours difficult to follow because of child care or other unalterable obligations. Also,
departments that were granted exemption last year will continue to be exempted this year.
