Ohio Women's Golf Inks Signee
Cari Mozingo will Join Bobcat Roster This Fall

ATHENS, Ohio (June 3, 2000) -- Ohio women's golf head coach Ann Slater recently announced
the addition of a signee for the 2000-01 season. Cari Mozingo (Akron) has signed a National
Letter of Intent to enter Ohio University this fall.
Mozingo, a two-time state qualifier from Coventry High School,
earned All-Ohio status after placing fifth in the Ohio state
tournament. She was a medallist in 15 dual matches and three
tournaments this season, including her sectional high school tournament
where she shot a career-best 74 at Turkeyfoot Links. She was named a
Plain Dealer All-Star, Beacon Journal Player of the Year and to the
Seven County All-Star team.
A four-year letterwinner in golf, Mozingo also earned letters
in varsity basketball and volleyball. Off the course she served as
National Honor Society President, Vice-President of her senior class
and was named an All-American Scholar.
"I am very excited to have Cari joining the Ohio Women's Golf
team," said Slater. "She is a strong golfer, student and leader. Cari
will provide the team with depth and enthusiasm for the game with her
energy to succeed in golf and academics. Cari will have a rewarding
next four years playing for the Bobcats."
