Higher Education Conference Held June 22-23 at Wright State

The Annual Ohio Staff Council of Higher Education Conference will be held
June 22-23, 2000, at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. All non-union
employees of state-assisted institutions of higher education are invited to
attend the conference. The annual conference provides opportunities for
individuals to network, share ideas, and to participate in professional
development programs.
OSCHE, Ohio Staff Countil of Higher Education, is an organization of
representatives from the staff councils of state-funded colleges and
universities in Ohio. Representatives from each school meet quarterly to
share ideas and initiatives, as well as discuss cooperative issues that
affect all of Ohio's higher education staff.
Ohio University hosted this conference last summer and it was a great
experience. Wright State has also planned an exciting conference titled,
"The Many Faces of Higher Education." Thursday's keynote speaker will be
Ceo Cohen Elliott with the topic, "Don't Get Hit By A Car While Playing
Bingo On A Deserted Island." Other workshops planned for Friday include:
Power of Positive Politics, "Everything I Ever Wanted to Know About Stress
Management I Learned from My Dog", The Power of a Professional Image, and
Keep Your Career on Track: Deal with Derailers.
Cost: $125.00 based on double occupancy (single occupancy-$20.00 additional
charge), includes lodging, Thursday evening banquet & speakers, tour,
Friday continental breakfast, lunch, 2 break-out sessions. If you are
