Two New Events Added to Spring Literary Festival

ATHENS, Ohio (May 4, 2000) -- Editors: Ohio University Spring Literary Festival organizers have planned additional
activities for the May 10 through 12 event. Changes in the schedule were made after
fiction writer Barry Hannah announced he will not be able to participate due to illness.
Participating authors are poets Albert Goldbarth and Heather McHugh, fiction writer
Antonya Nelson and film critic Andrew Sarris.
The new events are a book signing reception with the four authors at 11:30 a.m.
May 11 in the lobby of Irvine Hall and a question-and-answer session with the authors
at 8:30 p.m. May 12 in Irvine Auditorium.
The four authors will present lectures and readings during the three-day festival in
Irvine Auditorium. Editors can view the original news release, which includes photos of

The participating authors' presentation schedule:
- Goldbarth will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. May 10 and present a lecture at 11 a.m. May 12.
- Nelson will give a reading at 8:30 p.m. May 10 and present a lecture at noon May 11.
- McHugh will present a lecture at 7:30 p.m. May 11 and give a reading at 7:30 p.m. May 12.
- Sarris will give a reading at 8:30 p.m. May 11 and present a lecture at noon May 12.
