ATHENS, Ohio -- (April 25, 2000) Ohio banged out 19 hits, six of those for home runs, in defeating Cincinnati, 19-18, on Tuesday, April 25, at Bob Wren Stadium.

Junior Andrew See (Adrian, Mich.) hit three home runs, knocking home four runs to lead the Bobcats. Ohio also received four-RBI games from junior Chuck Lombardy (Chagrin Falls) and senior Jeff Rook (Fairfield), who each hit home runs. Sophomore Cory Keylor (Westerville) also hit a pinch-hit home run in the sixth inning that tied the game at 13.

Ohio scored the final run in the eighth inning when senior Brian Wingfeld (Shelbyville, Ky.) doubled home sophomore Scott Brownlee (Tallmadge). Wingfeld had three RBIs on the day.

Senior Bryan Costin (North Ridgeville) pitched the final 2 2/3 innings to pick up his first victory of the season in a game that saw each team use five pitchers. Matt Lasita took the loss for the Bearcats.

Ohio will host Akron for two Mid-American Conference doubleheaders on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday April 30 at Bob Wren Stadium. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. both days.
