CLEVELAND, Ohio (March 30, 2000) -- Ohio junior Julee Sovesky (New Castle, Pa.) earned MAC Golfer of the Week honors as announced Thursday by the Mid-American Conference office. Sovesky was the co-medalist at the Springlake Classic in Sebring, Fla., on March 10-11 with a two-round 144. It marked her second medalist honor of the season, as she has finished in the top eight in all six events.

Sovesky was one of three Bobcats finished in the top six as the Ohio women's golf team posted a nine-stroke victory at Northern Illinois' Springlake Classic. The Bobcats have won three of their six events this year, finishing no worse than fifth.

The Bobcats return to action on Monday as they travel to Campbell University's Fighting Camel Classic on April 3-4. The two-round tournament will be played at Keith Hills Country Club in Buies Creek, N.C. (par 72, 5949 Yards) and features 11 teams - Appalachian State, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Eastern Kentucky, Maryland, UNC Greensboro, Ohio, Penn State and Troy State.
