Four Ohio Women's Swimming and Diving Team Members To Compete In NCAAs

ATHENS, Ohio (March 13, 2000) -- Four members of the 2000 Mid-American Conference Champion Ohio women's swimming and diving team will compete in the NCAA Championships on March 16-18 in at the IUPUI Natitorium in Indianapolis, In. Seniors Hollie Bonewit and Joanne Park, junior Emily Bresser and sophomore Kim van Selm qualified during the MAC Tournament to earn their spot at the NCAA Championships.

Sophomore Kim van Selm was named Swimmer of the Year after claiming three individual championships and competed on four of Ohio's five championship relay teams. Senior Joanne Park earned Senior of the Year honors after also winning three individual races and four relay events.

Senior Hollie Bonewit and junior Emily Bresser both helped the 400 freestyle relay team to a win and a chance to compete at the NCAA Championships. Bonewit also won the 200 breaststroke, and Bresser won the 200 backstroke.
