SEBRING, Fla. (March 11, 2000) -- Three Bobcats finished in the top six as the Ohio women's golf team posted a nine-stroke victory on Saturday at Northern Illinois' Second Annual Springlake Classic in Sebring, Fla. Junior Julee Sovesky (New Castle, Pa.) posted her second-straight par 72 to finish at 144 and earn co-medalist honors.

The Bobcats open the spring season with the victory, shooting a two-round 597. Ohio topped Southwest Missouri State by nine strokes and held a 15-stroke advantage over third-place Arkansas State. Jessica Polus of Southwest Missouri State helped her squad to the second-place finish, tying Sovesky for medalist honors at 144.

Senior Heather Fueger (W. Lafayette, Ind.) posted a tie for third place, four strokes behind the leaders at 148. Sophomore Candace Artz (Stow) tied for sixth with a 150, while freshman Diane Rubin (Paris) tied for 13th with a 155.
