Ohio Baseball's Ryan Kyes Named MAC Pepsi Player of the Week

ATHENS, Ohio (March 8, 2000) -- Ohio baseball junior Ryan Kyes was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week on March 8. Kyes hit four home runs, including a grand slam that gave the Bobcats their first home win of the season.

Kyes hit a grand slam in the eighth inning of the West Virginia State game to give the Bobcats a 15-11 victory over the Yellow Jackets. On Sunday against Virginia Tech, he hit two bombs to help Ohio to a 19-15 win over the Hokies. In the four games last week he was 10 for 19 with nine runs scored, eight RBI and a double.
