Ohio's Vetnes Named to All-MAC Swimming First Team
ATHENS, Ohio -- (March 6, 2000)
Ohio men's swimming and diving team member, senior Vermund Vetnes
has been named to the Mid-American Conference All-MAC First Team. Vetnes earned the
honors after winning the 100 butterfly and helping the 800 relay team to a second place
finish and the 200 relay team to a fifth place finish.
Vetnes won the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.72, his best of the season. He was
ranked third in the MAC in the event. His 800 relay team took a second place finish with
a time of 6:42.64, and the 200 relay team came in fifth with a time of 1:23.39.
Ohio finished fourth in the MAC Championships held over the weekend, and was sixth in
the conference during the regular season.
