Faculty Art Series at the Kennedy Museum of Art

ATHENS,
Ohio -- (March 2, 2000) The Kennedy Museum of Art opened the "Faculty Art
Exhibition 2000: School of Art Ohio University." The exhibit features work
from 34 faculty members from the school of Art at Ohio University and
includes the departments of Art Education, Ceramics, Graphic Design,
Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. The exhibit will remain
on display through April 16.
Today marks the beginning of the Faculty Art Series which is being held in
conjunction with the faculty exhibition. The series is designed to give
faculty artists the chance to talk about their art and answer questions
relating to their work or field of study. The schedule for the Faculty Art
Series is as follows:
- March 2 Power Boothe, Painting
- March 9 Brad Schwieger, Ceramics
- March 16 Mary Manusos, Printmaking
- April 6 To be announced
- April 13 Don Adleta, Graphic Design
The series is held between 6-7 p.m. at the Kennedy Museum.
Museum guides are available on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. to provide
information about the museum and current exhibition.
Regular gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; noon
to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission and
parking are free to the public.
