ATHENS, Ohio -- The ultimate political party will be held after ballots are cast and the voting booths close at the "Election Watch" at Buffalo Wild Wings in Uptown Athens Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
Ohio University's Department of Political Science, School of Interpersonal Communication and Political Communication Certificate Program will sponsor the election night celebration.
Participants can watch the results roll in on big-screen TV sets, receive insightful commentaryfrom the political pundits among the Ohio University faculty members present and enjoy free foodwhile it lasts. Everyone is welcome to attend.
"Elections are democracy's feast," Assistant Professor of Political Science David Shafie said. "So why not spend election night feasting on hot wings?"
Assistant Professor of Political Science Ann Gordon said, "There are many important issues to be determined in this election, such as who will control Congress and who will be governor of Ohio. This is a chance for members of the community to come out and participate in the politicalprocess -- and have fun."
