ATHENS, Ohio -- The Contemporary History Institute at Ohio University is hosting a talk by Gordon Wood, this generation's foremost historian of the American Revolution, Thursday, Nov. 7, at 4:10 p.m. in Baker University Center's 1804 Lounge. The talk is free and open to the public.
Wood's seminal study, The Radicalism of the American Revolution, won the Pulitzer Prize in 1991. His earlier book, "The Creation of the American Republic, 1776-1787," received the American Historical Association's Bancroft Prize. Wood is the Alva O. Way Professor at Brown University.
