ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-COM) Prenatal Health Education Program and the Ohio Department of Health are collaborating to bring a prenatal class series, Just for Teens, to the Athens area.
The classes are free and open to pregnant teens and their parents and others in their support system. The series will cover health care strategies for mom and baby while providing information relevant to someone in their teen years. Each session will cover a different aspect of prenatal care.
The classes will meet every Tuesday night in October from 6 to 8 p.m. The first session begins on Oct. 8 at the University Osteopathic Medical Center Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in the O'Bleness Memorial Hospital Medical Building.
