ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University's Community and Professional Programs is sponsoring the popular "Grants and How to Get Them" workshop to be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Grover Center.
This informative one-day seminar is ideal for those with little or no experience in grant writing and will take you step-by-step through proven techniques for identifying and contacting potential funders, developing and submitting proposals and following up on your requests.
The instructor, Richard Morgan, an Ohio University alumnus, has been executive director of national and international nonprofit organizations and agencies. He has held high-level positions in development and fundraising and has taught at several colleges and universities throughout Ohio.
The cost for the workshop is $85 and includes lunch, materials (100-page manual), instruction and a Continuing Education Units (CEU) certificate worth 0.5 CEUs. Preregistration is required.
"In such difficult economic times, there are so many people who need grant money, but don't know how to get started with the application process," said Lisa Dael, program coordinator for Community and Professional Programs. "We hope to demystify that process in this workshop."
If your office has several people interested in grant writing who can't attend the program, Community and Professional Programs can bring the program to your workplace.
