ATHENS, Ohio -- University Program Council is proud to present the adventure thriller "Jaws" on Thursday, May 29, beginning at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). The movie is free to the public and will be projected on a 20-foot screen on Ohio University's South Green.
The Steven Spielberg movie is about a giant great white shark that arrives on the shores of a New England beach resort and wreaks havoc with bloody attacks on swimmers. The chaos continues until a part-time sheriff teams up with a marine biologist and an old seafarer to hunt the monster down.
"It is exciting to bring a classic film to campus in a format most students have never experienced," said Tyler Hilton, UPC film chair. "The large screen, along with Bose surround sound, will definitely leave an impact on the audience."
All are welcome to experience this outdoor event and the movie is free to the public. For more information about this event, please contact Tyler Hilton at (740) 593-4057.
