ATHENS, Ohio -- The deadline for submitting proposals for Faculty/Librarian Information Competency (FLIC) Grants is Oct. 18, Dean of Ohio University Libraries Julia Zimmerman announced. FLIC grants provide up to $2,000 ($1,000 per partner) to faculty members and librarians for selected proposals to redesign or enrich existing courses incorporating the principles of information competency. Grants are available to all Ohio University undergraduate and graduate faculty on all campuses.

A selection committee composed of faculty, librarians and administrators will review proposals and select those to receive funding. Awards will be announced Nov. 14, and recipients have 12 months to complete their projects following conferral of the funds.
Proposals should not exceed three pages, and faculty and librarian partners should meet with Stuart or Saines before submitting proposals.
